Paper Paintings

This collections of pieces are kind of a strange group of work. My overall goal was to have a feeling of media, playing with the idea of Japanese prints, to modern ads and packaging, as well as film. I wanted them to feel quick, and not necessarily permanent, so I chose to use paper to work these on. This is only a few of the pieces, but I hope to share more soon.

All of these pieces are mixed media pieces on paper. They are all a combination of pigment transfers and oil paint with different varnishes and finish techniques. Since all of the pieces have oil paint included, they are not 100% archival, and eventually the oil with destroy the paper in the gaps between gesso and gel medium. I look forward to the moth holes.
